The Stepping Stones Autism Services Group is currently looking for an enthusiastic Human Resources (HR) Manager to implement a variety of human resource programs. The Human Resources Manager is expected to perform a variety of duties working with individuals both within the corporate office and some management personnel working in other offices. Your assigned duties will include but not be limited to:     POSITION DESCRIPTION

Human Resources Operations: The Human Resources Manager will demonstrate a high level of expertise with human resource requirements regarding operational processes and effectively apply this knowledge to lead the autism practice to achieve corporate objectives. The Human Resources Manager collaborates with the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Director Operations to establish human resources standards for operations leadership in delivering these standards.     Employment Branding: The Human Resources Manager will work with senior leaders to identify, develop and promote SSG's market perception and will drive strategies to position the Company as an attractive employer for quality clinicians, educators, and instructional aides.     Employee Engagement: The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing engagement programs to successfully develop quality clinicians, educators, and instructional aides. The Human Resources Manager is accountable for measuring satisfaction throughout employment and adjusting processes to ensure a mutually positive experience for clinicians and clients.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and maintenance of HR Department and its team
  • Liability management of current and new employment and company policies and procedures relating to Labor Law Compliance
  • 401(k) plan administration
  • Benefits Administration of all benefit offerings, including Open Enrollment administration
  • Risk Management oversight including Workers' Compensation review and oversight of program, policy, and prevention
  • HRIS & Payroll system management & administration (Kronos experience a plus)
  • Employee Relations & Employee Retention
  • Compensation Research
  • Management of Employment Practices & Employee Handbook
  • New Hire Orientation and Management
  • Oversight of FMLA and other leaves of absences, tacking and documentation
  • Completion of all EDD, SDI, Verifications of Employment documentation
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Drive Human Resources Audits
  • Compilation and management of statistical data related to HR topics for analysis of historical and future performances
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic format
  • Other duties as assigned
The Human Resources Manager collaborates with the following leaders at SSG: Senior Vice President of Human Resources o Define Human Resources Operations within SSG Autism Practice o Strategic Initiatives Director Operations o Driving Operations within SSG Autism Practice o Performance management o Training & development     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as HR Manager or Director
  • Understanding of Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of California employment/labor laws (multi-state a plus)
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, especially excel; HRIS systems and Payroll
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to problem-solve in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field
