Texas Children's Hospital – Houston Texas, seeks an experienced physician with a proven clinical track record to serve as an attending Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist Hospitalist.

Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center (TXCH) at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston (TCH), Texas is seeking exceptional providers to serve as Pediatric Hospitalists on the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology inpatient service. TXCH physicians are faculty in the Hematology/Oncology Division that is part of the highly respected Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine.

Position Highlights:

Join our nationally recognized team of pediatric sub-specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospitalists at the assistant or associate professor level to

  • Works as part of a multidisciplinary team to manage care of Hematology/Oncology patients.
  • Attends to patient/nursing needs on admitted inpatients.
  • Assists with the care of new admissions.
  • Assist the Emergency Department to incoming patients after hours.
  • Attend on the inpatient (daytime) service teams for board-certified board eligible pediatric hematologist/oncologists.
  • Perform procedures (bone marrow aspirate/biopsy and lumbar puncture) on the procedure team.
  • Time is provided in the schedule for scholarly activities or personal projects.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
  • An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant or associate professor is desired given TCH's affiliation with Baylor. However, this is NOT required for this position.
  • Applicants must have a Medical School Degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Board Certified or Board Eligible for Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
  • Alternate: Board Certified or Board Eligible for General Pediatrics.
  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical
