We are looking for a Word Processor/Document Preparation Specialist to join our team!  This is a part-time position, expected to work 24 – 32 hours per week.  Candidate can be based out of our San Diego, CA office (preferred), another Tetra Tech office, or hybrid/remote. 

Your Role:
•    Perform extensive word processing in the preparation of detailed technical documents and presentations.   
•    Incorporate extensive technical editing comments on large documents.
•    Format large and complicated documents for electronic transmission.
•    Provide document preparation support, such as assisting others and resolving and/or referring a range of document problems and inquiries.
•    Work in a team environment and closely coordinate with multiple team members to help achieve a shared vision for document content and quality.
•    Assist project staff with deliverable formatting and submissions.
•    Preparation of presentations using power point.
•    Preparation of graphics, tables and charts using MS Office platforms.
•    Able to use multiple platforms for electronic deliverables including document conversions between platforms.
•    Be able to work with web-based tracking systems, download documents, transfer files, create record documents.
•    Be able to communicate clearly with teams via email, chat, and primarily virtual meetings (Teams).
•    Be able to work in generally fast paced environments for document deliverables that, while well planned, often have demanding deadlines.
•    Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    High school diploma or equivalent.
•    Technical training courses in document software is preferred. 
•    4-5 years of experience formatting, word processing, and document preparation. 
•    Experience working in the environmental consulting or remediation industry, or for the federal government is preferred.
•    Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

An editing/word processing test will be part of the interview.

Compensation:


Salary commensurate with experience. 
Salary Range: $23-$35/hour

A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
