The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Transportation team based in Tulsa, OK. In this role, you will perform daily inspection and documentation of roadway and bridge construction projects to ensure compliance with contract requirements and specifications.

Position Summary:
The Transportation Construction Inspector will provide on-site inspection services for road and bridge construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance with ODOT and OTA standards. This position involves daily fieldwork, detailed documentation, and coordination with contractors and project teams.

Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
⦁    Perform daily inspections and documentation of roadway and bridge construction activities.
⦁    Ensure project compliance with contract documents, specifications, and standards.
⦁    Maintain daily reports and accurately record construction quantities and materials used.
⦁    Verify material tickets, invoices, and delivery documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
⦁    Prepare as-built drawings and assist with project pay items for audit.
⦁    Utilize Microsoft applications, Site Manager, and ProjectWise software for project tracking and documentation.
⦁    Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and coworkers to maintain strong professional relationships.
⦁    Perform occasional night or weekend work as required by project schedules.

Required Qualifications:
⦁    Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects, preferably with ODOT or OTA.
⦁    Knowledge of ODOT construction standards, specifications, and methods.
⦁    Ability to read and interpret plans, contracts, special provisions, and construction drawings.
⦁    Experience with Microsoft applications, Site Manager, and ProjectWise software.
⦁    Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
⦁    Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in varying weather conditions.
⦁    Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work irregular hours including nights and weekends.
⦁    Accountability in handling public funds for project estimates and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁    AASHTO material testing training or certifications.
⦁    OSHA 10, confined space, and fall protection certifications.
⦁    Experience preparing Progressive Estimates and As-Built documentation.

Physical Requirements:
⦁    Ability to traverse rough terrain and remain on foot for long periods during site inspections.
⦁    Ability to lift and move materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
⦁    Ability to ascend and descend ladders and access confined or elevated spaces safely.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
⦁    Frequent outdoor work in variable weather conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures.
⦁    Exposure to construction sites with heavy equipment, dust, and noise.
⦁    Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

⦁    Requires frequent fieldwork and potential travel to project sites.
⦁    May include night or weekend shifts depending on project needs.
