Tetra Tech is launching a strategic initiative to strengthen our presence in South Cumbria, a region central to the UK's maritime, defence, and infrastructure investment plans. We're seeking an exceptional leader to shape and deliver this growth vision, establishing a new regional hub that connects local opportunity with national ambition.

The Opportunity
As our South Cumbria Regional Lead, you'll have the autonomy and backing to create a step-change in how we engage and deliver in this strategically important area.
You'll:
- Shape and implement a regional growth strategy, endorsed by the Organisation Leadership Team.
- Establish a local base in the Barrow-in-Furness / South Lakes area and build a multi-disciplinary team around it.
- Secure and deliver early commissions to kick-start operations and prove value.
- Develop enduring client relationships with senior leaders across central and local government, Tier 1 Defence contractors, and regional partners.
- Represent South Cumbria nationally, ensuring the region's priorities are visible in major government and defence programmes.
- Lead with purpose, aligning regional delivery with national sustainability, levelling-up, and innovation objectives.
You'll operate with the freedom of a start-up founder, supported by the scale, expertise, and brand strength of a global consultancy.
About You
You are a connector, strategist, and builder, someone who thrives on shaping new initiatives and turning complex ambition into action.
You'll bring:
- A proven ability to navigate complex government, defence, and industry landscapes, influencing policy and securing stakeholder buy-in.
- Experience leading programmes or portfolios with public or national-security significance.
- A track record of building teams and partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong commercial and delivery acumen, from business case development to execution.
- The confidence to represent the region at senior levels across government and industry.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, underpinned by integrity, collaboration, and curiosity.
- Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC or DV level).
- Ideally, residence in or relocation to South Cumbria with flexibility for regular engagement in London and across the UK.
