Tetra Tech has a great opportunity for a Senior Environmental Compliance Program Director to lead our growing environmental compliance business in Pittsburgh.   The Senior Environmental Compliance Program Director is a seller-doer role that will lead strategy, development, capture planning, and execution of environmental compliance projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-media environmental compliance including management systems, water/wastewater, air, and hazardous materials and waste programs, environmental compliance auditing, environmental permitting and regulatory reviews.  Your role includes developing environmental compliance services and implementing projects with existing and new clients. This position will report to the Pittsburgh, PA office; however, your role will include supporting client development and project delivery both locally and nationally, with options to work remotely, hybrid, or in the office. This position requires US citizenship due to the clients we serve.

Your Role:

 •    Provide technical expertise, oversight, and quality control on multi-media environmental permitting and compliance projects and related activities. 
•    Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on environmental compliance issues related to air quality, industrial wastewater, storm water, hazardous waste, and hazardous materials.
•    Lead and perform environmental assessments and/or EHS compliance audits.
•    Provide expertise in applicable environmental regulations including air and waste and industry applications as a subject matter expert for our Tetra Tech Global EHS team. 
•    Lead and mentor project staff with the environmental compliance activities.
•    Establish and develop new private sector compliance client accounts with bid opportunities and winning record.
•    Lead the development and delivery of sales presentations to prospective clients.  
•    Prepare proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work as necessary, balancing sales and utilization.

Qualifications:

•    B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or Geology/Earth Sciences from an accredited institution is required. Advanced degree is a plus.
•    15+ years of experience in environmental consulting with at least ten years of experience in environmental compliance.

•    Working knowledge of hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, oil pollution prevention, EPCRA and TRI, NPDES, and wastewater federal/state/local regulations. 
•    Working knowledge of PSM, RMP, SWPPP and SPCC Plans.
•    Familiarity with ISO 14001 (2004/2015), TSCA (e.g., chemical data reporting, PCBs) a plus.
•    Must have existing client relationships and a proven track record of winning work.
•    Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
•    Professional licensure/certification a plus (i.e., CPEA, PE, PG, PMP, CHMM).
