We are seeking a full-time Senior Commercial Project Director who will be based in either our San Luis Obispo or Santa Maria California office, with the ability to also work remotely. The Senior Commercial Project Director is a seller-doer role that will support the strategy, development, capture, and execution of projects targeting the commercial market sector.  The Senior Commercial Project Director will also support our growing commercial business related to environmental planning, compliance, liabilities, and engineering; asset management; master planning; industrial hygiene; environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG); and management systems (e.g., SMS, EMS).  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in consulting with the commercial client sector, including developing and winning new work. This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Your Role:

•    Establish and develop new commercial client accounts.
•    Fill a commercial opportunities pipeline with significant bid opportunities.
•    Lead the development and delivery of sales presentations to prospective commercial clients.  
•    Prepare proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work as necessary, balancing sales and utilization.
•    Assemble and lead teams to effectively and efficiently pursue and win work, and complete projects on time and within budget in accordance with client expectations and regulatory guidelines. 
•    Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base for a broad range of integrated consulting services. 
•    Identify and nurture strategic partnerships for major commercial projects.
Salary Range:  $120,000 - $140,000

Qualifications:

•    BS degree in engineering, science or a related technical field is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
•    15+ years of experience in consulting with at least ten years of experience in program/project management, business development, and strategic planning focused on the commercial market sector.
•    Must have existing client relationships in the commercial market sector and a proven track record of winning work.
•    Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
•    Professional registration, i.e., Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) is preferred. PMP Certification a plus.

 •    Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions and have the ability to travel.
•    Fluency with computer software, including knowledge of primary Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, TEAMS, and Outlook) is required.

This position would report to operations in California, with remote work as a possibility.
