Position Summary:

 

The Recruiter plays a critical role in supporting the organization's mission by attracting and hiring high-quality engineering and technical talent. This position partners closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to deliver data-driven, compliant, and effective recruiting strategies that align with business goals. By owning the full-cycle recruiting process and proactively engaging passive talent, the Recruiter helps ensure teams are staffed with the expertise needed to deliver impactful projects and support continued organizational growth.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR colleagues to develop and execute effective, data-driven recruitment strategies aligned with business goals and workforce needs.

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical roles, from proactive sourcing and candidate engagement through offer acceptance.

  • Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, AI tools, and recruiter-driven social channels to identify, engage, and convert passive talent into qualified candidates.

  • Write compelling job advertisements and personalized outreach messaging across digital and social platforms to differentiate roles in competitive talent markets.

  • Manage a high volume of requisitions with agility, balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.

  • Ensure accurate data management and audit readiness by maintaining timely, complete candidate records and workflows within the applicant tracking system.

  • Provide a seamless and thoughtful candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and proactive coordination across all stages of the hiring process.

  • Build trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders to clarify hiring needs, align expectations, and maintain consistency in recruiting processes and messaging.

  • Monitor labor market trends, sourcing innovations, and recruitment technologies to continuously refine strategies and introduce new tools or approaches. 

  • Support university and early-career programs to strengthen employer brand visibility and develop future talent pipelines.

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional recruiting experience.

  • Eight or more years of proven experience as a corporate or in-house recruiter, with demonstrated success supporting technical or engineering-focused roles.

  • Strong track record of recruiting entry-, mid-, and senior-level professionals within engineering or other highly technical disciplines.

  • Hands-on experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake and proactive sourcing through offer negotiation and acceptance.

  • Advanced sourcing expertise, including the ability to identify and engage both active and passive talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and recruiter-driven social platforms.

  • Experience partnering with and advising hiring managers and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency using Applicant Tracking Systems to manage candidate workflows, ensure data accuracy, and maintain compliance.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience recruiting within engineering, infrastructure, environmental, or professional services organizations.
  • Familiarity with Taleo or similar enterprise-level Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience leveraging recruitment analytics, market insights, and technology tools to inform sourcing strategy and improve hiring outcomes.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer and participating in virtual meetings

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, navigating applicant tracking systems, and using standard office equipment

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and via video conferencing

  • Occasional standing, walking, or light lifting of materials up to approximately 15 pounds, such as laptops or files.

 

 

 

 

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

  • Primarily an office and/or remote work environment with standard business hours

  • Work involves prolonged screen time and use of multiple digital systems simultaneously

  • May include collaboration across time zones, requiring flexibility in scheduling meetings

  • Occasional travel to office locations, career fairs, or team meetings as needed

Salary: NYC – $90k to $120k, Seattle, WA – $85k to $115k
