Tetra Tech is currently seeking a full-time, Project Assistant to work out of our San Diego, CA office.
The selected candidate will
• Coordinate preparation and organization of multiple documents, and other deliverables, according to internal and external client requirements and schedules
• Assemble weekly financial summary reports and distribute to project managers
• Assist with assembly and delivery of monthly contract status reports
• Solicit input from project managers for week status and burn rate reports
• Update and maintain document/deliverable tracking database
• Set up and maintain electronic filing system for all new work orders
• Audit project files
• Maintain personnel training database and records
• Assign and coordinate administrative task to other administrative staff
• Support other administrative/project tasks as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience performing a similar role. You will also have / be:
• Prior experience working within the environmental industry and/or with NAVFAC Southwest a plus.
• Effective communication with all levels of management and peers, including clients
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to details, with good judgment and follow through
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize time effectively
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality, especially matters concerning business and staff
• Good with numbers (some accounting skills preferred)
• Experience delegating tasks to administrative staff
• Demonstrated individual drive and initiative with the aptitude to maintain work with minimal supervision as well as work as a part of a team.
• Possess a professional disposition and a positive attitude
• Flexible, and able to adapt immediately to changing priorities
• Manage a heavy workload
• Work overtime as needed (nights and weekends)
In addition, you will have / be:
• Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word and Excel; with the ability utilize Excel functions and PowerPoint
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader
• Experience with Access, and Graphics a plus
Degree / Certifications
• Bachelor's degree
Work Environment
• The work environment of this position is that of a typical office position. You may be required to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Minimal lifting would be required. Candidate may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Travel is not required.
The Hourly Range for this position is $30.00/hour - $45.00/hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
