The Opportunity
NDY is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer with strong technical expertise and a strategic mindset to lead fire engineering design and delivery across complex projects. You'll balance commercial outcomes, quality assurance, risk management, and team leadership while contributing to design excellence and innovation.
As part of a senior, highly technical team, you'll be exposed to various high, medium and small-scale projects including high-impact projects and supported with ongoing development and career growth opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead fire engineering design, documentation, and contract administration
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Conduct quality reviews of the Fire Engineering deliverables
- Manage client relationships and oversee project delivery
- Apply NCC and relevant codes to fire engineering design
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal tools and processes
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in fire engineering design for buildings in Australia
- Familiar with Fire Engineering software's (FDS, pyrosim, pathfinder, B-Risk etc)
- Strong skills in Bluebeam and MS Office
- Solid understanding of NCC and IFEG and design documentation workflows
- Excellent communication, organisation, and strong problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Experience across varied project types; commercial, transport, retail, resi etc
