The Position
- We are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer responsible for technical delivery of projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will be able to work independently as well as part of multi-discipline project teams.
- Design and document hydraulic systems through concept, design development and detailed documentation phases
- Review technical submissions by Contractors and Sub-Contractors and the quality of construction against the specified requirements
- Undertake Construction Administration on projects, designed by NDY.
- Ensure NDY's IMS System is implemented and maintained on projects, which may require quality assurance reviews for peer projects
- Proactively identify, develop and promote ways to improve operating capability
- Manage your involvement in projects so that work is completed efficiently whilst meeting client needs
- Engage with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are known, managed, and fulfilled, within program and project constraints. Liaise with Contractors and Sub-Contractors to address construction-related documentation issues
- Attend site meetings as appropriate and report on the status of the work and any items of concern
Who we're looking for
- Engineering professional with a proven track record spanning the entire project lifecycle, overseeing project delivery with 2 – 5 years of experience in Hydraulic services. Experience in the state of Western Australia is preferred.
- Experience in the following hydraulic fields is essential: Water supply design, Sanitary Plumbing & Drainage design, Stormwater drainage design, Hot Water design, Natural gas design, Rainwater recycling design, Trade waste drainage design and liaison with local Water Authorities.
- Established expertise in the Hydraulic services industry with sound knowledge of the suite of AS/NZS 3500 standards.
- Deep understanding of Australian building project practices and location requirements including BCA (Building Code of Australia), NCC (National Construction Code), and the PCA (Plumbing Code of Australia)
