The Position

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our ACT team, reporting to the Section Manager. We seek a highly motivated, senior engineer to lead our electrical design solutions and project teams for timely project delivery.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience and technical ability to manage resources, financial performance, and delivery of multi-discipline projects as a project coordinator.
  • Complete engineering analysis and design of electrical systems as well as liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Knowledge of HV system is not a prerequisite but is seen as an advantage.
  • Apply the latest technologies to our ever-expanding workload of building services to verify design work completed by others and provide mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers and project coordinators.
  • Strong technical background that you want to continue to build on with experience across different market sectors including health, tertiary education, and the like
  • As a confident communicator who is articulate and confident in developing new and existing relationships, you will be working with like-minded individuals who are flexible in their approach to challenges, motivated, and share the ability to think laterally in delivering smart technical solutions to our clients.

Your Capabilities

  • Established experience in relevant professional engineering experience across the full project lifecycle and responsibility for delivering projects
  • Experience working within the building services sector utilising Australian building codes and standards.
  • Strong understanding of relevant Standards and Building Codes in your region.
  • Accredited with CPEng or ACT Professional Engineers Registration
  • Well-developed understanding of Project Stages and Delivery methods (e.g. full design, design and construct)
  • Ability to exercise well-developed problem-solving skills and use substantial initiative and judgement to work independently to meet objectives
    Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.
