Our Southern California remediation practice is growing, and we are looking for exceptional candidates to grow their career with us in our Irvine office. With a diverse private and public sector client base, we are seeking a Mid-level Environmental Engineer with outstanding technical capabilities who can help us advance our practice. Our projects involve complex site investigations coupled with the application of innovative site remediation technologies.

 

Your Role:

Role will include, but are not limited to:

·         Conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.

·         Supporting the evaluation, design, and implementation of a variety of site remediation technologies.

·         Managing, operating, and maintaining remediation systems.

·         Subcontractor coordination and management.

·         Planning and executing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations and monitoring activities.

·         Data evaluation and report preparation.

·         The selected individual will report to senior personnel. At times, the selected individual may delegate assignments to junior personnel and be responsible for overseeing completion of tasks within budgetary, schedule, and other internal and external constraints.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, or similar.

·         Master's degree in environmental engineering with a focus on remediation is preferred.

·         Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with plans to obtain a professional license in California is desirable.

·         Familiarity with permitting and technical requirements for site remediation in California is also desirable.

·         Successful completion of 40 hours of OSHA health and safety training for working with potentially contaminated materials (provided, as needed), annual 8-hour refresher courses, first aid training, CPR training, and medical monitoring.

·         Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel are required.

·         A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

·         Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

·         Highly motivated with excellent technical writing and documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

·         Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong time management skills, and innovative.

·         Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Excel, MS Word).

·         Software experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, gINT, others.

·         Ability to utilize critical thinking, a flexible approach to problem-solving, excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written), planning, and organizational skills, and attention to detail.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to sometimes work long hours in the field under sometimes adverse conditions.

·         A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

·         Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and have no criminal record.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 yearly

 

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
