Proposal Summary: 

The Irregular Warfare Center Support Services contract will support the Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) under the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The contract will provide technical, academic, logistical, and administrative services to expand the IWC's curriculum, event development, and partnerships. Key objectives include aligning Department of Defense education on irregular warfare, facilitating research, engaging with governmental and non-governmental entities, and supporting interagency collaboration. The contract requires personnel with TS/SCI security clearance and spans a base year with two-option years. Please note this solicitation is currently in the proposal stage.

 

Position Summary:

The Media Specialist will support the Irregular Warfare Center (IWC) by developing and managing multi-platform communications to expand awareness of IWC initiatives and engagements. This role focuses on producing high-quality visual, written, and multimedia content that aligns with the IWC's mission to build and sustain U.S. and allied capabilities in irregular warfare. The Media Specialist will also support the design, execution, and branding of communications for public outreach, partner engagement, and interagency coordination.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Curate and manage IWC's official social media accounts, creating compelling content to promote upcoming events, courses, and publications, and to build the Center's global network.
  • Develop, maintain, and update multimedia products including newsletters, promotional videos, informational briefings, and website content.
  • Draft and edit weekly activity summaries, monthly reports, and talking points for IWC senior leadership.
  • Provide full photography and videography coverage for IWC programs and events; manage post-production editing and archival.
  • Develop branding materials (placemats, posters, infographics) to visually communicate IWC missions, courses, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with event planners, instructors, and senior leadership to provide visual support for domestic and international programs.
  • Support public release processes for all content, ensuring compliance with DoD guidelines and clearance through the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review.
  • Conduct ongoing research into media strategies and tools to expand IWC outreach, especially among defense and academic stakeholders.
  • Support web content development and assist with layout, updates, and functionality enhancements under the direction of the IT and communications team.
  • Provide routine clerical and records support related to communications materials, public information packets, and participant information.
