Landscape Architect - Various Grades - Various roles across UK

Do you want to expand your experience across a wide range of projects from small to large and across different sectors.  At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems.  We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Landscape Architects at various levels to join our National Landscape Team delivering a wide range of projects. 

 

Currently we have an exciting opportunities to support our teams focusing on delivering projects across a wide range of sectors including flood and drainage infrastructure, residential, transport, local government, defence, education, commercial and healthcare projects. 

 

Experience associated with flood and drainage for Utilities companies and the Environment Agency would be valuable.  

 

You should have experience of projects at all scales of development and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment.  

 

You will work independently and proactively on design and technical aspects from a project's inception, determining client briefs, to the delivery and close out of projects in accordance with best practice and supported by colleagues throughout.

 

You will provide support throughout the delivery of projects as well as take on project management responsibility, including taking client facing roles. Where appropriate and depending on the role, you will instruct, supervise and mentor junior staff in the design and management of schemes and work with clients to ensure delivery of projects to time and cost, and to help manage change.

 

We provide internal project management training as well as a structured learning and development platform including mentoring and coaching, CPD and training to ensure our staff are the best they can be to deliver excellence to our clients.

 

The projects are UK wide and some travel would be expected on occasion, including working outside normal office hours.

 

About the Roles:

 

We are an established team of Landscape Architects based across the UK our main offices are London, Leicester, Leeds, Edinburgh & Cardiff but we work collectively as a team and have an interesting portfolio of planning and design work spread across the UK.

You will work closely with our team of landscape, urban design, and architecture colleagues as well as other disciplines within the business including Planners, Ecologists, Transport, Highway and Structural Engineers, Cost Consultants and Environmental Managers.   You will be based in one of our national offices with an opportunity to work a flexible balance of working from home and the office.

 

Position responsibilities include: 

·        Production of concept / detail design, construction drawings and works specifications for public realm, residential and regeneration scheme.  We currently have an interesting portfolio of town centre regeneration projects delivering public realm through to construction.

·        Production of high-quality presentation drawings and graphics.

·        Production of high-quality written reports.

·        Site surveys and analysis, research, public and stakeholder consultation

·        Assisting in undertaking and the production of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments

·        Supporting project managers and other staff with other office duties with integrity and flexibility.

·        Organising and managing your professional work responsibly and independently where necessary.

·        Carry out professional work with care, conscientiousness and with proper regard to relevant technical and professional standards.

·        Ability of working to meet demanding deadlines.

You will be encouraged to join Pathway to Chartership programme if you are not Chartered and through mentoring and varied work programmes, we will actively support your chartership qualification.

 

You will be creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic about delivering imaginative design, with a keen eye for detail. Alongside, you must have:

 

  • Recognised Degree and Post Graduate Qualification in Landscape Architecture or related disciplines
  • Experience of working on a wide range of projects from concept to completion, with emphasis on the design phases
  • Proficient in use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite Package, 3D skills in 3D model and rendering software.
  • Revit and or Rhino 3D experience would be useful
  • Report writing experience would be beneficial
  • Landscape Assessment experience or an interest in developing these skills would be desirable
  • Good Teamwork and communication skills are essential
  • Driving license desirable
  • Experience of managing a team ( this is depending on the level of the role you will undertake )
