Your Role:
We are currently seeking a Junior Civil Engineer for our Pickering, ON office. This posting is for an existing vacancy for which we are actively recruiting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required by the position. Responsibilities:
Participate in preparing civil designs, including calculations, construction details and drawings, for stormwater systems, site layout and grading.
Design work will be executed in a 3D environment utilizing state of the art 3D modelling software to simulate as-found field topography as well as final grading design to demonstrate poste development conditions.
Ability to perform design, including preparation of calculations, material lists, drawings, technical and construction specifications.
Reports to department manager and assists in preparation of design estimates, construction costs and proposal submissions.
Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications.
Qualifications:
University Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
Registered or eligible to register with the PEO as a P.ENG
2 plus years of experience in design in municipal and linear infrastructure systems and structures.
Experience in linear infra structure design including but not limited to: site development, drainage, grading, site utilities, erosion control, and roadway design.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance
