We are seeking a full-time IT Help Desk Technician for our client at the Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo, CO. 

The selected candidate will provide Help Desk support for the PCD Information Management Office (IMO) activities for hardware and software. Help Desk support will assist in solving PCD personnel technological problems and aid IMO with technological support; maintain leased copiers/printers post-wide; initiate service calls when needed; and serve as Help Desk, creating trouble tickets for issues not resolved at the first level. The position will support the tracking of IT equipment maintenance and repair.  In addition, you will support PCD's Common Access Card issuance in accordance with DOD Manual 1000.13. 

The following are typical duties: 
•    Provide technical support to users of IT services at PCD
•    Assist users with problems related to computer and communications services, including operating systems, local area network (LAN) services and various applications packages
•    Gather data and perform diagnostic techniques to help identify solutions to problems
•    Monitor the resolution of users' problems; expedite problem resolution efforts and coordinate with vendors and other technicians to resolve problems with telecommunication services, computer hardware, software and procedures
•    Serve as a principal point of contact for resolving user questions or problems concerning IT automation systems, software and/or hardware problems, password violations, and telecommunications trouble and work orders.  
•    Determine the exact nature of the problem (e.g., routine, non-routine, user error, faulty data lines, equipment malfunctions, software malfunctions, etc.) in order to provide or assist technicians, specialists and users with solutions to problems.  
•    Collect information from callers to be used in the troubleshooting and workstation and/or printer services.  
•    Coordinate with the Army network, telecommunications specialists in monitoring the LAN and Wide Area Network (WAN) and the installation telecommunication video teleconferencing
•    Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years relevant IT technical support experience is preferred.  

•    US Citizenship is required.
•    Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is required; current clearance is preferred.

In addition, you will have /be: 
•    Experience in Windows Operating Systems (OS), Microsoft Office, networking principles, and Active Directory. 
•    Preferred experience with Department of Defense systems and Security Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
•    Familiar with LAN/WAN systems and the Process Data Acquisition and Recording systems.  
•    Experience in workstation image creation and image management, workstation roll-out and re-build, configuration, and maintenance of computer equipment, workstation and printer troubleshooting and repair, telecommunications and teleconferencing equipment. 
•    Strong interpersonal and IT troubleshooting skills.  
•    High levels of written and oral communication skills are required to assist users with technology-related issues.  Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
•    Ability to read, research, analyze and interpret general inquiries from IT users to resolve IT-related issues.
•    Ability to evaluate and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  
•    Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
•    Able to work and collaborate with employees at all levels and disciplines.


Degree / Certifications
•    Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
•    Either COMPTIA A+ and Windows 365 Endpoint Administrator Associate at the time of hire, and able to get the second certification within 3 months of hire is required. 
•    Current/Past security clearance is preferred.

Work Environment
•    The candidate should possess a valid driver's license and be able to take training to operate a Gator Utility Vehicle.
•    Lifting computer equipment is required.
•    Ability to access cables, plugs, etc. required.
•    May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.  
•    Must be medically able to pass a fit test to wear a respirator.

The Salary Range for this position is $22.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
