Job Details:
We are currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Substation Design Engineer for our Mississauga, Ontario office. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities:
- Prepare steady state and transient studies using ETAP, SKM, PSSE, CDEGS or PSCAD. Prepare studies such as load flow, short circuit, Arc Flash, grounding, TOV, Corona, EMF, induction studies, etc.
- Prepare study reports that are clear and well written.
- Provide guidance to junior engineer on how to complete work.
- Prepare proposal writeups and estimates based on client Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Provide percent complete as well as Estimated Time to Complete estimates when requested by project managers or lead engineers
- Provide input into improvement ideas during project execution and close-out
Requirements:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of working experience in Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience working in consulting firms.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
- Possess exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project
