About the role

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in the entire lifecycle of fascinating projects. We are seeking an ideal candidate who is genuinely passionate about managing site investigations and overseeing various geotechnical engineering projects including earthworks, tailings, mine void projects, and slope stabilization initiatives. This role will involve direct interaction with clients and stakeholders.
In addition to your project involvement, you will be expected to contribute to the technical analysis and preparation of comprehensive technical reports. Working closely with our experts, you will collaborate on diverse projects across multiple sectors spanning infrastructure, mining, and urban developments.
Reporting to the Practice Leader, this position requires a balance of ingenuity, creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative approach.

About you
We are looking for emerging geotechnical engineers that bring an inquisitive and practical approach, an energy towards their work and the team, and a rapidly expanding technical knowledge base. You will have strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build strong team and client relationships.
Ideally you will have:
· A Civil Engineering, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering degree
· A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in geotechnical investigations
· Soil and rock logging competency, including performance of in-situ tests, and possibly some experience in the installation of monitoring instruments
· Some experience in the oversight of earthworks and slope stabilisation projects will be valued
· A keen interest in developing your consulting skills
· An interest in developing your business development and analytical skills
· An enthusiasm to travel to where the action is, including remote areas and interstate travel
