Your Role :

 The GIS Analyst will work in the Information Solutions Group which comprises of individuals within the GIS, Database, Application Development, and Records Management disciplines. The analyst will play a key role in supporting Project Managers and other members of the department with planning and design projects for a variety of municipal, state, federal, and commercial clients throughout the eastern United States.  Major duties/responsibilities of the position include:

•    Working with various project teams to support a variety of municipal, state, federal, and commercial projects.
•    Being responsible for report assistance, presentations, and mapping for a variety of environmental, utility, and water resources projects.
•    Effectively communicate and coordinate with other project team members and disciplines.
•    Maintain, troubleshoot, and deploy mobile GIS solutions as part of project team. 
•    Build, update, and maintain enterprise geodatabases and data, with guidance. 
•    Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and related equipment for distribution. 
•    Georeference historical aerials and drawings into existing maps and digitize key features. 
•    Update and query database, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations. 
•    Conduct research to locate and obtain existing geospatial datasets. 
•    Analyze spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports. 
•    Prepare metadata and other documentation. 
•    Perform quality control on geospatial data attributes. 
•    Occasional travel to client sites and other locations, as requested.
•    Other duties as may be assigned and may include periodic field work.

Qualifications:

•    Associate or Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Sciences, Database Management or related field.
•    At least 3 years direct GIS work experience
•    Experienced in using ESRI ArcGIS Pro and Extensions, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
•    Expertise with ESRI Apps such as Survey 123, Experience Builder, and Story Maps
•    Maintain a passion for continual learning about GIS technologies and refining and maintaining geospatial solutions for clients.
•    Energetic with ability to overcome obstacles to complete a task safely and efficiently.
•    Familiarity and understanding of GPS technology.
•    Understanding of geodatabase structure and capabilities.
•    Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
•    Capable of working in and communicating strongly and effectively within small and large team environments.
•    Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines.
•    Interest in or ability to automate repetitive processes using scripting languages (i.e., Python, Model Builder, Arcade)
•    Awareness of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) is a plus. 
•    Valid state driver license in good standing
