 Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer in the field of civil and environmental engineering to join our team currently serving both commercial and government clients primarily in the mid-Atlantic area. Works with project teams to plan and conduct tasks such as field work, investigations, design engineering, construction/remediation oversight, and technical report writing and review.  Performs projects in accordance with CERCLA, RCRA, and other Federal and State environmental programs.  Must be capable of evaluating data to reach sound technical conclusions and present/document findings in project reports using text, figures, tables, and graphs.  Must be able to develop and assume responsibility for the execution of basic tasks/projects. This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Your Role:

 •    Typical office duties include planning field work; coordinating multi-media sampling; and preparing  deliverables primarily related to CERCLA environmental cleanup activities at hazardous waste sites.  Contribute to reports, remedial design planning and execution, including cost estimates, and work plans related to contaminated groundwater and other media.   Review similar documents prepared by responsible parties.   
•    Typical field duties involve travel to and from sites; oversight of subcontractors; construction management; remedial action implementation; remediation system operation and maintenance; and construction quality control for selected remedial actions. 
•    Supervise and coordinate work of other staff on projects as appropriate.  Provide technical direction and guidance to CADD/GIS operators, designers, technicians, and field personnel.

Qualifications:

•    BS degree in environmental engineering.  A BS degree in a related engineering discipline (such as civil, chemical, process, or geotechnical) may be substituted for environmental engineering.  
•    Up to 3 years of related engineering experience.  
Candidates with an advanced degree in lieu of 3 years' experience will be considered.  
•    40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training. 
•    Experience with environmental projects at hazardous waste sites.
•    Engineer-in-Training certificate.  
•    Experience with Federal and State environmental remediation project experience in the mid-Atlantic area.  

•    A current, valid, driver's license for a state in the U.S.
•    Fundamental understanding of sampling environmental media, including groundwater, soil, surface water, sediment, and air.
•    Ability to prepare and interpret written technical documents and tabular data presentation.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
