Your Role:
- Act as an Owner's Representative, observing and overseeing underground utility construction.
- Ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and permit requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contractor progress, including precise quantity records, payment requests, punch lists, and certification of completion status.
- Document site activities accurately by maintaining accurate and current field books, construction reports, and as-built record drawings.
- Work closely with Client personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project timelines.
- Coordinate with third-party materials testing firms for concrete, soil, and weld testing.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience inspecting civil infrastructure projects. Potable water and wastewater inspection experience preferred.
- Proven track record working with municipal agencies or utility infrastructure organizations.
- Experience in delivery of and/or supporting technical work (construction technical specifications, drawings, documentation) in a construction environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle simultaneous inspection of multiple projects.
- to react proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust effectively to changes.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Physical Requirements:
- This position may require protracted or irregular hours depending on the season.
- Traverse over rough terrain, and constantly position self to operate miscellaneous survey equipment.
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladders into trenches or onto roofs when inspecting construction and land development sites.
- May be subject to exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions, hazardous materials and chemicals, heavy construction equipment, confined spaces, heights, and air and waterborne pathogens.
- May handle and move items up to 50 lbs for various needs.
