Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Junior Civil Engineer. You will collaborate closely with the Civil Designer of Record and multidisciplinary project teams to prepare construction drawings, specifications, and design analyses for a variety of Commercial, Municipal, Industrial, and Federal projects.
Essential Job Functions:

- Work closely with the Project Managers and Engineers to create land development construction drawings for Commercial, Industrial, Municipal, and Federal clients
- Perform water resources engineering and modeling for surface water management systems and stormwater collection/conveyance systems

Plan and design water/wastewater/stormwater treatment, facilities/distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities projects
- Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information
- Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses
- Prepare engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with standard engineering practices and documentation requirements
- Evaluate design alternatives and resolve technical issues
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Support permitting processes and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Proficient in using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil drawings and following client standards
- Must have a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required (local and interstate travel required)
- Must be able to pass a background screen
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering in Training (EIT) certification
- Previous work experience in consulting and/or DoD/government contracting
- Experience in using Bluebeam software
- Experience in using GeoStorm software
Specialized Knowledge Abilities:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
- Experience in civil/site drafting and design
- Familiar with civil construction, civil engineering standards, and materials
- Able to generate precise layout drawings from sketches and specifications
- Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar software
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to focus for long periods and pay close attention to detail. This role involves mostly sitting and minimal physical activity. When traveling to job sites, the employee should be able to walk through active construction areas with equipment and noise present. Must be able to wear required safety gear, including hard hat, vest, safety shoes, glasses, and gloves.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
Approximately 90% of the time will be spent working in an office, home, or hybrid environment. Up to 10% travel may be required for meetings or site visits within the United States, which may include driving, flying, and occasional overnight stays.
Pay Transparency:
This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US, with a preference for EST and CT time zones. The anticipated pay range for this position is $70,000-$78,000 annually. However, the pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
