Description
Tetra Tech is looking for a mechanically biased Associate to join our dynamic M&E team, with a focus predominantly in defence sector projects. The role of Associate is key to the structure and performance of our building services teams in all our regions and you would be responsible for the delivery of engineering design solutions, the management of your projects and the performance of your project team.
Your responsibilities will include the technical and commercial management of your own projects both in the UK and abroad. Your role will include the management and development of other engineers, carrying out calculations and verifying those carried out by your team, estimating cost and finance for the business and costs for budgets.
This role will include all aspects of a building services engineering in the defence sector and you will be reporting directly to the engineering director responsible for your region. You will require a background in mechanical engineering but with a high level of knowledge in electrical engineering, public health and sustainability and a key understanding of construction.
You will need to have a proven track record in the provision and successful delivery of building services across the defence sector predominantly. Ideally you will have experience in other sectors such as, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education and leisure within both public and private domains.
You will have experience of designs in defence projects to Eurocodes and Defence JSP standards, and ideally some experience in other military standards such as US standards.
You will be a chartered engineer to a relevant building services recognised Institution.
You will have the passion and drive to manage projects in accordance with the client's brief and programme, developing good business and customer relations. Your works will range from concept through to detailed design, controlling and maintaining the quality of work in accordance with Tetra Tech policies and standards.
You will assist and lead in project winning, bids and interviews.
You will be required to use your skills in contributing to and leading project bids and tender submissions.
