Tetra Tech is searching for an Alternative Energy Seller Doer. This position is responsible for leading the development and growth of alternative energy projects (bioenergy, solar, or wind energy) for Federal, State, Local, and Commercial Clients. This includes managing waste to energy and fuel projects as well as supporting the Operations Manager with routine office/project functions (e.g., financial, staffing, employee development, etc.). This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on. This position reports into eithyer the Pittsburgh PA or Collinsville IL office but may be worked remotely.

Your Role:

 •    Manage project financials including all aspects of budgets, costs, and contingencies
•    Provide project-level financial progress reports
•    Manage multiple, concurrent projects, from project development through completion to meet client objectives
•    Prepare and monitor scopes, schedules, and budgets as necessary for all projects
•    Identify and allocate appropriate resources for execution of individual projects
•    Identify and implement effective systems and/or software for project success, including project management information systems, document management systems, relevant water/wastewater modeling tools, etc.
•    Assist clients with strategic planning for prioritization of projects
•    Assist in regulatory relations, negotiations, conducting and leading meetings, and routine reporting
•    Develop and manage relationships to facilitate the successful delivery of the projects
•    Provide proper implementation of risk management procedures
•    Prepare and present routine program progress status reports and presentations to multiple stakeholders
•    Conduct value engineering reviews, integrated planning, project cost reviews
•    Monitor and resolve construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements
•    Participate in the development of and meeting the goals contained in the Annual Operating Plan for the Operation.
•    Lead and conduct sales efforts.
•    Lead, mentor, train, and grow Tetra Tech's Operations staff.
•    May conduct annual staff performance evaluations.
•    Lead recruiting efforts for key positions that enhance the skills and capabilities of the operation. 
•    Work with the Operations Manager when evaluating staff leveling - staff growth and/or work force reductions, as necessary.

Qualifications:

•    Master's degree in science (i.e., geology) and BS in earth sciences or related field are preferred. 
•    Experience as a Senior Project Manager, Seller-Doer is desired. 
•    Experience with client customer service in the alternative energy industry is strongly preferred.

    Registration (ex: PE, PG, etc.) or certification (ex: PMP, CHMM, etc.) is highly desirable. 
•    Must have a minimum of 20 years of experience in remediation, bioenergy, solar energy, wind energy, or renewable energy project development, design, and optimization of facilities.
•    Must be able to demonstrate the ability to attract and retain clients, and build backlog, revenue, profit, direct labor, and ROI over time. 
•    Possess project management capabilities and experience effectively balancing direct and indirect utilization rates. 
•    Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
•    Proficiency delivering technical and business presentations.
•    Successful past performance directing and supervising subcontractors. 
•    Proven track record of successfully bringing in and executing profitable assignments for clients and building key target client accounts.
