Tetra Tech AMT is looking for an Air Traffic Specialist

 
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: 
  • Support special projects where Specialist will need to leverage ATC background and expertise to provide advisory/consulting to FAA client SME.
  • Ability to understand customer Provide SME consult and feedback on metrics, data analysis, process development, data requests, and tech solutioning projects
  • Support the development cycle of FAA client's tool suite within the Group.
  • Understand business user needs and be able to articulate the requirements for a tool/system, which includes how the new features will be used 
  • Support system/tool development by providing project management support to include:
  • Participate in regular telcons discussing bugs/issues/enhancements related to a particular IT system, potentially assigning/determining priority against planned software releases.
  • Create, enhance, and/or execute test plans (e.g. project control, user evaluation, new feature, data updates/upgrades, hotfixes)
  • Coordinate and run user testing events and meetings, includes the logistics involved (select a location/conference room, create and edit briefings, setup web sharing and telephone bridge portion of the meeting if applicable).
  • Compile test results and produce a professional report and/or deliverable to the customer based on their requirements.
  • Ability to understand the technical issues based on user feedback and be able to propose enhancements or fixes.
  • Maintain bug and issue tracking in Jira.
  • Confirm feedback in some cases of test results based on user evaluation.
  • Ability to support tech refresh activities or migration to another platform in the areas of identifying minimum requirements needed.
  • Support tech transfer by inspecting and validating data sources, stitching, and front-end metrics presentation
  • Review and provide feedback for requirements document for federal customer tools.
  • Help develop and enhance training materials for software tools/new features
  • Communicate updates to tools with users and stakeholders
  • Participate in Configuration Control Board preparation activities
  • Facilitate client meetings, and in some cases provide documentarian support
The successful candidate will have:
  • 15+ years of Air Traffic Control or air traffic management background including 5 years of management experience required
  • Experience with enterprise IT systems and supporting project management/maintenance of the systems/tools during the SDLC required
  • Airspace Design experience (preferred)
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment (preferred)
  • Experience using and/or knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) system/tools such as TARGETS, DME Tool/RNAV-Pro, Project Tracking Tool (PTT), IOAA/PBN Dashboard (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
