Air Force Aviation Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Position Summary:
Segue Technologies, Inc. seeks a an Air Force aviation SME with in-depth knowledge of scheduling, training, syllabi, and Stan/Eval. This is a part-time hourly remote position.Preference is someone located in the San Antonio area to attend occasional on-site meetings at Joint Base San Antonio, Randolph or the local San Antonio area. This position may occasionally require travel or weekend/evening work (less than 10% of the time).
Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understanding of Flight Operations to include scheduling, training, and Stan/Eval terminology, progression and workflows
- Comfortable working in Test Environments for testing and troubleshooting
- Understand Air Force (military) 'lingo' and terms with the ability to effectively communicate with senior military and flight operations personnel
- Able to understand differences in scheduling, training, and Stan/Eval across multiple aircraft platforms and multiple MAJCOMs
- Solid reading comprehension (ability to read and interpret AFI's, AFMAN's, and Syllabi).
- Analytical skills for research and troubleshooting
- Use knowledge and experience with previous military training systems to support emerging requirements
- Attend team project meetings
- Additional tasks as required
Required Skills:
- Active Secret DOD Security Clearance
- Possess a thorough understanding of Air Force training and have experience with Air Force training information systems
- Experience with MS Office product suite
- 10+ years as an Air Force Military Aircrew Member or Aircrew in a similar service e.g. Marines, Army, Navy
- Good customer interaction skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interface directly with customers and senior leadership
- Strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail
- Recent knowledge/utilization of the Air Force Aviation programs (GTIMS, PEX, etc.)
Desired Skills:
- Air Force Aviation Instructor or Evaluator
- Data entry experience
