**Job Title:** Medication Technician

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our healthcare team at The Laurels and The Haven in Highland Creek. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the daily operations of our facility and enhancing the overall quality of care provided to our patients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Accurately prepare and administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness of medications, and report any adverse reactions to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Maintain detailed records of medication administration, including dosage, time, and any observed patient reactions.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure the proper storage and handling of medications in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care while addressing any concerns or questions patients may have regarding their medications.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay informed about the latest developments in medication administration and healthcare practices.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medication administration preferred.
- Proven experience as a Medication Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and dosage calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

**Work Environment:**

This position is based in a healthcare facility where you may be required to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility needs. Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining hygienic practices is essential in this role.
