Regional Service Manager Sunstate Equipment Co.: Where Safety and People are Core Values We care about our People and it shows! The Regional Service Manager is a Leadership position that works closely with the Regional Operations Manager to identify areas in the branches that can effect positive change and hold accountability to those individuals in charge to assure that change takes place. This is Management a position that monitors reports and works closely with various departments to help streamline any new and current processes. This person will have experience in one or more of the following areas; as a District Service Manager, a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Top Line Mechanic/Field Service Mechanic or Shop Foreman position. This person should also possess the knowledge of how each piece of equipment operates and what it is supposed to do in its operation. Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000* *Actual salary offered may vary based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, and abilities; licensure and certifications; geographical differences; and market conditions. Position Requirements:
Proven Service Leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop service teams across multiple locations while driving accountability, performance, and a strong safety culture.Operational Command & Adaptability
Ability to step into any branch environment, quickly assess shop and yard operations, and implement effective processes in partnership with local teams.Heavy Equipment Technical Expertise
Deep hands-on knowledge of construction and rental equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, drivetrain, and electronically controlled systems.Advanced Diagnostics & Mentorship
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to coach, train, and remotely support technicians in complex equipment repairs.Safety & Regulatory Knowledge
Solid understanding of DOT regulations and OSHA/ANSI standards, particularly related to construction and aerial equipment.Vendor & Cost Management
Experience working with vendors to resolve quality issues, manage costs, and ensure fleet availability and reliability.Strategic Organization & Decision-Making
Highly organized, detail-oriented leader who can prioritize effectively, manage multiple demands, and work independently with minimal oversight.Professional Communication & Collaboration

Drive Equipment Turn & Shop Efficiency
Analyze various reports and maintain close communication with District Service Managers to support timely equipment turnaround and maximize shop productivity.Oversee Maintenance & Repair Cost Management
Serve as the primary regional point of contact for fleet, shop maintenance, and repair-related expenses, ensuring costs align with company benchmarks.Analyze Trends & Control R&M Spend
Monitor repair and maintenance trends across assigned markets, identify variances, and determine whether cost drivers are localized or systemic across branches.Evaluate Vendor Strategy & Cost Effectiveness
Continuously assess the cost-benefit of internal versus external vendor utilization, ensuring quality, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.Protect Pricing & Parts Strategy
Monitor parts pricing and cost structures in partnership with District Service Manager to ensure pricing integrity and margin protection.Optimize Fleet Analytics & Lifecycle Strategy
Develop and refine tools and metrics to evaluate fleet performance, validate equipment class models, and support data-driven decisions on equipment purchase, retention, and disposal.Support Equipment Selection & Market Evaluation
Collaborate with District Service Managers to evaluate new and competitive equipment offerings, identifying opportunities for improved durability, lower total cost of ownership, and operational advantage.Lead, Mentor & Develop Service Leadership
Mentor District Service Managers by strengthening leadership skills, communication effectiveness, and alignment with mechanics and branch leadership.Partner Across Operations & Fleet Functions
Work closely with Regional Operations, Fleet, Training, Risk, AP, and other cross-functional teams to address equipment, maintenance, and compliance initiatives while leading and contributing to key projects.Standardize Processes & Drive Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with Training to develop procedures, clarify processes, and promote consistent execution across all markets.
