Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Execution
- Designs and implements a comprehensive total rewards strategy that supports organizational goals and talent priorities.
- Conducts market benchmarking and external competitiveness analyses to guide pay and benefits decisions.
- Partners with senior leadership and HR to align rewards with business performance and culture.
Compensation Management
- Leads job evaluation, salary structure design, and annual compensation review processes.
- Oversees short-term and long-term incentive plans, including executive compensation, bonuses, and equity programs.
- Ensures internal pay equity and compliance with wage and hour laws.
Benefits and Well-being
- Directs the design and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and leave plans.
- Partners with brokers and vendors to negotiate contracts and improve plan efficiency and employee value.
- Monitors benefit trends to propose innovative solutions (e.g., flexible benefits, mental health support, financial wellness programs).
Analytics and Compliance
- Develops reward metrics and dashboards to evaluate program effectiveness (e.g., cost, ROI, employee engagement).
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., FLSA, ACA, ERISA, pay transparency laws).
- Manages audits, filings, and documentation for compensation and benefits programs.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Leads and develops a team of compensation, benefits, and HR operations professionals.
- Partners with Finance, Legal, and Talent Acquisition to ensure alignment across functions.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to executives on total rewards.
Communication and Change Management
- Builds and delivers clear communication strategies to help employees understand and appreciate their total rewards.
- Supports change management during mergers, acquisitions, or major program redesigns.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
- 10–15+ years of HR experience with deep expertise in compensation and benefits.
- Strong knowledge of compensation practices, benefits regulations, and HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG).
- Analytical and strategic mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) are highly valued.
