
Description
The Insurance Solutions Specialist assists with marketing of the Firm's insurance products (Life, LTC and Disability) to Financial Advisors and clients. This includes helping to create and execute marketing plans, managing relationships with carriers and general agencies, providing insurance training via WebEx and in-person. The Insurance Specialist assists Financial Advisors and other branch personnel with product-specific questions, technical, sales, and marketing matters.
What We're Looking For
• Assists Financial Advisors by answering their insurance related questions, participating in client/prospect meetings/conference calls and by assisting in identifying insurance related opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth policy reviews with Financial Advisors.
• Creates and maintains accurate product and marketing information on the intranet portal.
• Supports the creation and execution of insurance marketing programs and sales strategies.
• Manages relationships with insurance carriers to ensure a sufficient supply of high quality insurance products
• Manages relationships with general agencies to ensure top notch support for our Financial Advisors
• Assists with the creation and delivery of insurance training through conference calls, WebEx, and in-person presentations
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
What You'll Bring
• General knowledge of insurance concepts and product
• Working knowledge of insurance concepts/products.
• Working knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
• General knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, and agency rules; familiarity with compliance issues and surrounding insurance products.
Education & Experience
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or business related field
• Minimum Required: 1-3 years of industry experience
Licenses & Credentials
• Minimum Required: State Insurance License, Life, Health and LTC
• Minimum Required: Series 7, 63 and 66 within 6 months of hire
Systems & Technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
