Overview
The Agency of Digital Services is seeking a Network Administrator I to join its Network Operations team. This position serves as an entry/early level role within the Network Operations team. Under guidance from senior network engineers and IT leadership, you will help maintain, monitor, and support the State's network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and performant connectivity across departments and facilities.
In this role, you will perform routine network tasks such as configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and support more complex projects as your skills grow. You will also help enforce standards, document infrastructure, and coordinate with other IT teams to ensure the integrity and availability of network services.
This role provides a strong foundation for career advancement within the State's IT and network operations teams, with opportunities to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to critical statewide initiatives.
Duties are primarily performed in an office or data center environment, with periodic fieldwork at various State-owned or leased facilities. In-state travel is required to support network installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work may be required for network outages or scheduled maintenance.
A fingerprint-supported background check is required as a condition of employment.

Work is performed in a computer network environment involving considerable interaction with customers, departmental and other IT staff. Some overtime work will be necessary during after hour maintenance or emergencies. Some travel to customer locations may be involved, for which private means of transportation may be required.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits
OR
Two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
