Overview

The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking an administrative professional who would like to join the HR administrative unit. We are looking for someone with exceptional office skills to include Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Daily work includes processing a high volume of data entry, email communications, new employee orientationm and filing paperwork that is required during the hiring and on-boarding process of new employees.


As a member of our administrative unit, this position will work closely with several departments mainly within the Agency of Human Services. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are necessary. We are looking for a professional who is detail oriented and can work effectively with all levels of employees and management, organize and prioritize work effectively and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced office environment. The ability to move from one task to another quickly and efficiently is needed. Working within deadlines is critical for this position. 


The Department is currently supporting a hybrid telework environment. Requests to telework will be considered, and in person work will be required.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered.

Minimum Qualifications


Two (2) years or more in an administrative role that includes customer service and computer experience involving use of spreadsheets, databases, and/or e-mail communications. 

Preferred Qualifications

Human resources or payroll experience.

Experience in public employment.
