SCHEDULE: Full-time

 

St Mark's Hospital has an open CT Technologist position!

 

 

We currently have  2 GE CT Scanners.  We have VCT LightSpeed and Revolution CT.   We are a very busy CT Department consisting of outpatients, inpatients, and ER patients.  We image anywhere from 65 to 85 patients in a day.  There is never a dull moment in CT! 

 

In our department, you will work with friendly interventional radiologists assisting them with various types of biopsies, drain placements, aspirations, injections, cryoablations, and microwave ablations.  There are always opportunities to learn new things and be challenged in your career. We also do cardiac imaging consisting of CCTA's, TAVR's and calcium scoring.

 

Some of the job duties expected in our department include:

·         Administer both oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for any allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam being performed

·         Loading and operating MedRad power injector

·         Operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately

·         Assisting interventional radiologists with procedures

·         Maintaining a clean work environment and stock the department with supplies and linens

·         Moving, lifting, and assisting patients on to and off the scanner table

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT (CT) certification
  • Current Utah State Radiology Technologist Licensure
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
