Urology Nurse Practitioner
SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Urology Department. This service is heavily grounded in routine urology surgery with opportunities to explore in subspecialties such as Advanced Endoscopy and Laparoscopy, Robotics, and Pelvic Health.
The Urology Department is comprised of 3 Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practitioners. The position includes operative first assisting, inpatient/floor and outpatient/clinic responsibilities.
The ideal candidate would have urologic and/or surgical experience, or a strong attraction to the operating room. New graduate applicants will not be considered at this time. They would be skilled in performing invasive procedures. Candidates must be able to function in a high-stress environment and thrive within a team approach model. Candidates must actively pursue opportunities to improve the quality of care provided to the Urology patients across the continuum of care.
- Full time position with competitive salary and benefits package
- APs will work with surgeons across a variety subspecialties both in the OR and clinical settings
- Other duties would include a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties
- Position is split between OR/hospital time- 30-40% and outpatient clinic time- 60-70%
