Software Engineer
Locations: Kanas City Hybrid -6x per month

SS&C is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Identity Access Management and Fraud Prevention platform team based out of our Kansas City Headquarters. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable, and efficient authentication and authorization solutions.  The role with offer the opportunity to work with the entire development stack necessary to support UI/workflow, backend and micro-services to support all solutions we offer our clients to ensure their customers a protected with industry leading security.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code using Java, JavaScript and Python
• Create and maintain user interfaces using FreeMarker Template Language (FTL).
• Assist in discovery, design and integration using Keycloak.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in authentication, authorization, identity management.     
• Document technical specifications, system designs, and implementation details.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Java and other relevant programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience in UI development, FreeMarker Template Language (FTL) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL) a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of security best practices and principles for web applications.
• Experience with other identity and access management (IAM) solutions
