Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our Digital Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital investment products through rigorous testing processes. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create and execute test plans, identify defects, and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs.

This is a full-time role which will require you to work from 2 pm to 10 pm to support coverage of some of our key time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the quality of digital investment products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop effective test strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct manual testing for complex test cases that cannot be automated or require detailed human interaction.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing test automation framework to improve coverage, stability, and efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that test environments are set up correctly and data is prepared for testing.
  • Report and communicate test results, metrics, and quality trends to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in both manual and automation testing.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Experience with manual testing techniques, including exploratory testing, boundary testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs, with a solid understanding of RESTful services.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of identifying edge cases and potential defects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with investment or fintech products.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with database testing, including SQL queries and data validation.
