What You Will Get To Do:
The Product Consultant position is charged with defining business requirements for wealth management clients globally as a part of the Product Management team.
- Defining and document business requirements for enhancement requests received from internal stakeholders and outside clients directly as it pertains to the Global Wealth Platform (GWP) book of business. SS&C's GWP offering is a combination of both software and services providing its clients with significant functionality across many jurisdictions. The unique characteristics within the wealth management industry require detailed understanding of both product and regulatory requirements to be effective.
- Performing business analysis and the ability to define business needs efficiently.
- Defining business requirements to present to the Product managers within the team for approval.
- Once approved, work with development teams to develop and evaluate those requirements.
- Assist in managing and prioritizing the requested items received by the team.
- Support the audit of the application(s) managed by the product team.
- Preparing detailed requirements analysis documentation to support the development of cost effective, client driven, information management systems for both internal and external clients.
- Provide training and demonstrations to end users as required.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support the application development, quality assurance and user acceptance teams throughout the development life cycle.
- Experience with the financial services and the securities industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL to prepare queries (SQL Server) for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Business Level Testing experience
- Experience with full trade life cycle, trading desks and equity/fixed income markets is an asset.
- Familiarity with FIX Protocols is an asset.
- Knowledge of rebalancing process and model management practices is an asset
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience
- A related university degree in finance, economics, math, computer science, or relevant professional designation such as CPA or CFA
- Strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the customer
- An effective communicator able to effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams.
- An individual who builds bridges and can function as an interface between development, product, and implementation teams.
