Job Description

Opportunity snapshot 
 

Member of the DevOps team with responsibility for supporting and building cloud platforms as well as CI/CD Pipelines within the Managed Services Space and internal Bluedoor Development Teams. 

Role responsibilities 
 

• Maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, git/TFS, PowerShell) 

• Assess and build new capabilities in the cloud hosted environments 

• Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools 

• Implementation of new pipelines 

• Implementation/Build of new Cloud Environments 

• Assist in Managing Projects through to completion with the Devops Manager/Supervisor 

• 2nd level support for Devops Activites. 

Experience 
 

• IT degree, or equivalent experience  

• 5+ years experience working in a DevOps/Cloud Engineering/SRE role  

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods  

• Solid understanding tech stack to include:  

• AWS  

• Terraform  

• PowerShell & Bash  

• Windows/Linux  

• Puppet  

• SaltStack  

• Containerization  

• VMWare  

• Databases (Postgres/MSSQL)  

• CI/CD Tools such as TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub Actions  

• Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies  

• A passion for automating manual processes  

• Keen to continuously improve & innovate
