Manager - Superannuation AdministrationJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager to lead our Superannuation Administration team. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end administration of superannuation schemes, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, manage a team of administrators, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our superannuation administration services.
Job Responsibilities
- * Lead and manage a team of superannuation administrators, including performance management, coaching, training, and professional development.
- * Oversee the daily operations of superannuation administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of contributions, rollovers, withdrawals, transfers, and benefit payments.
- * Ensure full compliance with relevant superannuation legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- * Act as a primary point of contact for complex client queries and escalations, providing expert advice and resolution.
- * Develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and risk management.
- * Prepare and review financial reports, compliance reports, and other documentation related to superannuation schemes.
- * Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., finance, compliance, IT) to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize superannuation administration workflows.
- * Participate in client meetings and presentations as required, representing SS&C's superannuation administration capabilities.
- * Ensure all client service level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently.
- * Stay abreast of changes in superannuation legislation and industry trends, advising on their impact and necessary adjustments.
- Process and maintain employee superannuation contributions, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Coordinate with fund managers, trustees, and insurance partners.
- Ensure accurate and timely remittance of employer and employee contributions.
- Reconcile monthly and annual superannuation fund statements.
- Respond to queries related to superannuation accounts, balances, and benefits
- Knowledge and relevant experience of Transfer Agency
- Managing the production floor, handling all process and people related issues
- Experience in stakeholder management and process management
- Addressing escalated issues with respect to service delivery and reports any potential problems to the management
- Participating in the weekly conference calls and updating the weekly status reflecting the process performance;
- Acting as the primary contact for all his/her counterparts
- Addressing escalated issues with respect to service delivery
- Reviewing weekly MIS reports;
- Approving all access and change requests related to processing applications.
- Reviewing Performance of team and give feedback on Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly basis.
- Preparing Business continuity plan
- Counsel the team members if not performing up to the expectations or for any escalated issues.
- Good Communications Skills.
- Strong knowledge of superannuation / pension fund / gratuity / provident fund rules.
- RG 146 complaint or commitment to undertaking study (desirable)
- Superannuation or industry experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated customer service skills
