The Lead UI Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the architecture of user interfaces (UIs) across web and mobile applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver visually appealing, scalable, and high-performing UIs that enhance user experience. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in front-end technologies, a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and leadership skills to guide the development team toward excellence.

What You Will Get To Do:

1. Architectural Design & Development

  • Define and document the architecture of UI systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Lead the development of reusable components, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment of UI designs with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into robust front-end implementations.

2. Technology Leadership

  • Evaluate and recommend front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve development processes.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, testing, and design patterns.
  • Maintain expertise in emerging front-end trends and technologies, integrating them into projects when appropriate.

3. Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with product managers, UX designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for front-end architecture-related discussions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers on the team.

4. Quality Assurance

  • Oversee code reviews, ensuring adherence to standards and optimization for performance and accessibility.
  • Establish and enforce testing strategies for UI components and workflows.
  • Optimize front-end performance, focusing on load times, responsiveness, and user interactivity.

5. Project Leadership

  • Lead the UI architecture planning for large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Define development milestones and track progress with project management tools.
  • Assist in estimating timelines and resource allocation for front-end initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Proficiency in tools like Webpack, Babel, and other build systems.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or architecture role.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in agile development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Contributions to open-source UI projects or libraries.

Salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, business needs, and geographic regions. Colorado: Salary range for the position: 160,000.00 USD to 200,000.00 USD.
