SS&C GIDS – Fund Administrator

Job Description

The Fund Administration department offers an accurate day-to-day calculation of unit-linked prices for a range of insurance and pension funds. The team is multi client, thereby providing this service to a number of life & pension companies.

Relevant services also include the compiling and updating of unit registers to reflect all subscriptions and redemptions, movement of policyholder and fund monies to reflect these decisions, monitoring and paying fund related fees, and processing corporate actions. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for reviewing and ensuring Unit linked prices are calculated on a timely and accurate basis, with all tolerances and variances explained.
  • Ensuring all dealing and cash transfer deadlines are met
  • Supervision of Fund Administration processes.
  • Ensure box management of funds is carried out subject to prescribed guidelines.
  • Signing off on monthly accounting information and performance statistics.
  • Payment of Fund Management fees in accordance with terms outlined in Fund Management Agreements and SLA's
  • Documentation of any amendments to prices due to errors in information received from TPA providers
  • Improvement of controls on an on-going basis.

Your Experience

  • Third level qualification in Business / Finance / Mathematics or a related discipline
  • Leaving Certificate Higher Level Maths or equivalent
  • Three year's Fund Administration experience.
  • Understanding the daily Fund Administration cycle and the tasks and processes involved
  • High degree of numeracy, analytical and logical skills
  • Knowledge of MS office
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work, manage time effectively and work to deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in approach and attitude
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
