What You Will Get to Do:           

This role contributes to the successful remediation of incidents across the Workplace Super business value chain and involves executing business analysis activities in line with defined methodologies and frameworks across several incidents simultaneously. The role requires the Business Analyst to collaborate with the Remediation Team, Project Manager, Product Owners and numerous delivery partner, stakeholders across the business, in understanding the incident and planning its rectification / remediation.

The Business Analyst will work in a team of Business Analysts, Senior Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure clients impacted by remediation incidents are reinstated to a position where they are in as good of a position as (if not better than) they would have been had the event not occurred.

  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand what went wrong.
  • Collating requirements to identify and remediate impacted clients (product rules).
  • Engaging with internal data asset owners to procure source data.
  • Manipulating and analysing complex data from disparate sources.
  • Providing meaningful data, insights and recommendations to Senior Business Analysts, Project Managers and Remediation Incident Managers to enable decision making.
  • Ensuring quality and auditability of outputs through testing, peer review and process documentation.
  • Providing input to developing tools and techniques to optimise remediation processes.

What You Will Bring:

  • Practical understanding and proven experience in the end-to-end event remediation lifecycle
  • Intermediate level working knowledge of super registry systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of contemporary business analysis methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.
  • Domain knowledge of corporate/retail super, pensions and group insurance: products, business processes.
  • Capability to extract, manipulate and analyse data to meet requirements, infer insights and form recommendations for the business
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate very clearly (both written and verbal) with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge across the business
  • 3+ years' experience in Business Analyst role (remediation preferred)
  • Experience working in large financial service organisations (i.e., superannuation, investments, insurance) is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of application
  • IT, Commerce or Finance related degree OR prior experience in a large-scale client remediation program
  • RG146 (Superannuation) compliance – Desirable
  • Business analysis certification (e.g. IIBA or PMI, PMBOK) – Desirable
