Account Administrator

Locations: Chicago, IL | Hybrid

SS&C is seeking an Account Administrator to join the Sell Side group supporting the Wealth & Investment Technology group in its Chicago office. This role supports business processes for broker-dealers using our products and services, with a focus on the areas of billing administration and connectivity requests and approvals. In this position, the Account Administrator will work closely with clients, the Account Management and Operations teams, and various other internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the team, the Account Administrator will help maintain and improve existing processes and systems and will work collaboratively with clients and various internal departments to facilitate day-to-day business workflows. The role will allow an individual to gain a deep knowledge of the investment process, and of SS&C's strong presence as a leader in providing best-in-class technology solutions to the trading community. What You Will Get To Do:

  • Coordinate with various teams, including finance, to prepare monthly invoices by collecting information and compiling data.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and support timely invoice delivery.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support collection efforts.
  • Communicate with client stakeholders and coordinate with internal teams to facilitate and track client connectivity requests and approvals.
  • Liaise between clients and internal teams (Sales, Finance, Operations, Tech) to facilitate timely and accurate communications.
  • Provide general account support and assist with commercial questions.
  • Develop sound familiarity with internal processes and systems used to manage our business and apply that understanding to ensure we are managing our operations consistently.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships throughout the organization, including Account Management, Sales, Service, Legal, Business Applications and Finance .
  • Work with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice issues.
  • Evaluate and improve upon existing processes and procedures for business operations.
  • Help update and maintain various platforms for knowledge-sharing across the organization.

What You Will Bring:

  • BS or BA Degree.
  • BS or BA Degree.
  • 1-2 years of applicable work experience.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are critical.
  • Experience performing analysis in Excel and producing reports & dashboards.
  • Experience with Salesforce data and reporting preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Ability to learn quickly, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, manage multiple competing projects and deliverables, and quickly realign priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
