Description
What you will do: will be responsible for supporting the Program Manager's responsibilities with the expectation that they will become proficient and be promoted to the role of Program Manager or similar. The Sales Trainee is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in the development, promotion, sales and profitability of a customer's product line. This position will assist in the development of the annual strategic plan along with sales and gross margin dollar goals. Building strong customer relationships including knowing them on a first name basis is key for this position. In addition, this position is accountable to provide input on promotions, pricing levels, and new product development and must develop the competitor knowledge base covering their product offerings, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses.
Qualifications/Skills Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to plan work and achieve stated goals in critical to success.
- Must be able to make judgements and decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to move projects to completion.
- Excellent customer service focus with an understanding of cost of service.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, detail orientation and ability to multi-task
- 10-30% travel to customers as required.
