Overall Role to Springfield ReManufacturing Corp. 

Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for duties in the accounting department related to the clerical/administrative functions.   These functions include scanning AP/AR batches, emailing invoices, posting cash receipts, opening mail and filing

Responsibilities 

  • Daily Scanning of AP batches and back up documentation
  • Daily Scanning of AR batches and back up documentation
  • Emailing AR invoices to customers
  • Daily accumulation of documentation
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Preparing check runs for mailing
  • Open incoming mail and file appropriately or gather required signature
  • Accumulate and organize PR time records for both hourly and salary payroll
  • Cross trained and back up for AP clerk
  • Participate in and supports the principles of Open Book Management and recognizes the responsibilities of being an employee-owner of the company.
  • Prepares proper documentation for audits and interprets and resolves audit findings.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.

 

Key Qualifications

  • High school diploma and one year of experience in an Accounting/Payroll/AP/AR capacity and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current financial and accounting computer application knowledge 
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles.
  • Appropriate professional image with high ethical standards.
  • Clerical knowledge and administrative ability in maintaining accurate files and records using mathematical and deductive reasoning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel..
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
