Education/Training: Ability to read, write and communicate with clients in English. CPR Certification or willingness to attain CPR Certification within three (3) months of employment as needed.
Skill(s): Moderate reading, writing and grammatical skills; proficient in interpersonal relations and communication skills, including pleasant telephone manner and speaking voice; ability to demonstrate competency in required job skills by successfully completing both a written and observational assessment or willingness to participate in related training; ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective working relationships; valid driver's license and dependable means of transportation.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) months related experience preferably with an elderly population.
Responsible for providing safe, thorough and efficient home support as planned and assigned by the Client Services Supervisor to maintain or improve the stability of the client, family or household; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
