Location: Worcester, MA. Mobile-Unit Program

Pay Rate: $20.90/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
 

Spectrum's Mobile program provides access to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) throughout the City of Worcester using a specially equipped van. This mobile program targets high-need populations who have been unable to access treatment under traditional, brick-and-mortar models.

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Training and certification appropriate to the role; recovery coach or certified peer specialist is preferred
  • Must have lived experience with mental health, substance use conditions, or family supporting a family member with behavioral health challenges; and be in recovery. Prefer current or former recipient of behavioral health services.
  • Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
  • High energy level, flexibility, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team atmosphere while also working independently
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.  Must have access to a safe, operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport Enrollees


The Recovery Coach is responsible for:

  • Utilizing effective, dignified, empowering and creative engagement strategies to patients are engaging in treatment and aftercare services.
  • Modeling recovery principles and practices within the Outpatient Team.
  • Providing support to outreach, engage, and assist patients in identifying their recovery goals and developing recovery plans.
  • Providing linkages to recovery-oriented, peer support self-help supports and services and community-based mental health, substance use disorder, and family supports programs.
  • Providing support to individuals while they are in the hospital, detoxification programs, 24-hour levels of care and other levels of care, emergency departments, and out-of-home placements as well as self-help groups and 12-step programs.
  • Providing assistance with solving problems directly related to recovery, including finding sober housing, making friends, finding new uses of spare time, and improving one's job skills.
  • Providing health and wellness coaching to patients and assist them identifying and utilizing health and wellness supports in the community.
