M Integrated Warfare Systems Group comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy's Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy's Team Submarine Office. Responsibilities You will serve as a full-time, highly qualified adviser providing direct support to the AN/SPY-6 Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar (EASR) Program within the Navy's Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate's (PEO IWS 2.0). A hybrid work environment is acceptable, however you must have the ability to work regularly in the vicinity of the Washington Navy Yard. Travel up to 20% of time is expected with this role. Specific responsibilities include: Lead and act on behalf of the program's Working Group Leads ensuring the appropriate Systems Engineering processes and discipline is applied across the program. You will join a high performing Government and contractor team regularly working with stakeholders from industry, the PEO, Warfare Centers, Navy Labs and University Affiliated Research Centers on complex issues facing the program. You can expect to work on a variety of other radar development and integration documents and tasks. You must be able to support technical interchanges and working groups by providing technical expertise in the areas of radar and/or combat systems integration. Create executive briefing material and brief senior leadership (GS-15/O5+) on current program status. Participate in a variety of PEO IWS enterprise, US Navy and DoD activities as assigned, for example Waterfront Integration Testing, and Combat System Ship Qualification Test Review, and combat systems certification events. Review Annual Task planning/budget allocations, monitor contract spend plans/expenditures and available funding. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or similar field 5+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in the area of DoD engineering or programmatic support Possess or meet eligibility for DOD SECRET security clearance, with the ability to maintain this clearance throughout employment Desired Qualifications: Experience with Navy's radar, and/or combat systems design and certification processes Former Navy FC/SWO/STO with combat systems experience Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
