Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or other technical degree.
  • 2+ years of Test & Evaluation (T&E), Systems Engineering, DoD Acquisition, or Program Management experience.
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Highly desired: Practical experience working in at least one aspect of planning for and/or conducting test events.
  • Experience working in an acquisition program office environment with documentation, protocols formats, and deadlines.
  • Experience with US Navy combat systems and/or radar systems.


Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced junior or mid-level Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to provide direct support to the AN/SPY-6 Program within the Navy's Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors Directorate's (PEO IWS 2.0). 

 

Your primary responsibility in this role will be to provide support to the AN/SPY-6(V) Test & Evaluation (T&E) Assistant Program Manager (APM), primarily providing technical and programmatic services focused on AN/SPY-6 T&E activities. Typical tasks for the position include development and/or review or technical and programmatic T&E plans and documentation (e.g. T&E planning and strategies, T&E Master Plans, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, Trouble Reports, Requirements Traceability Verification Matrices, Technical Review Action Plans, Summary Reports, Statements of Work, etc.), coordination of Subject Matter Expert (SME) reviews and comment adjudication of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and performance of test execution services in live testing (e.g. test execution lead, test data collection, target coordination, etc.). You will be required to communicate effectively with technical SMEs, Principal Assistant Program Managers, APMs, and program T&E execution staff. We expect you to provide educated advice and deliverables to the level of SPA's highest quality standards—delivered on time, error-free, and suitable for the intended purpose.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range:  $90,000 – $115,000.
